that would be dumb. there are already tuns of stats. they need to fix gameplay issues like speedburst before adding silly stats

i like everything you said except the last thing about trucking technique. i do not think that is a good idea. just because reggie bush isn’t a good truck doesn’t mean he cant run with his shoulders lowered for 5 yards. it just means he wont be as successful when trucking.

when are they gonna fix psychic defenders running the route before the receivers??? when are they gonna fix players warping to get INTs???

Lets just play Madden 04, NCAA Football 04 and NFL2K5 on PS2 or Original Xbox. Update the roster and be happy. We wouldn’t even be talking about these problems. Those are complete games and should give you the football simulation you desire. That’s all you need. F*** these next-gen maddens. They are all shit. Even Madden 09 on Original Xbox / PS2 are simulations.

Just look at how Peterson ran over the DB in the game vs. the Browns in Week 1. That explained it all. He ran, the DB was gonna tackle, he stiff armed then started his momentum again. Madden has become really sad.

  • Alangh said:

Yea, I agree. Since ppl aren’t robots, they can play off of potential energy from within due to intangibles like adrenaline and sure will to not quit on a play. But with that said, balance is pretty much the only ability a player has that’s mostly more mental than physical, bcuz that player has to understand how to use his physical abilities to his advantage when he’s engaged with someone, like the ball carrier engaged with a potential tackler or even two linemen engaged for that matter.

  • StuntLikeABoss2010 said:

EXACTLY APEX!!! they should have weight be IMPORTANT!… weight and balance are really important. the strongest guy in the game shouldnt be able to truck a 300+ linemen, even if he has 99 strenghth…..its possible to break free maybe? cuz good balance…but NEVER…EVER truck…i wouldnt even ATTEMPT to truck a huge linemen…i dont think any other running back would either..

  • StuntLikeABoss2010 said:

Even tho ur tired its still possible to play ur best…thats the thing about humans, were not robots who only have like 70% energy (when tired)so we can only perform to 70% of our ability. so i gotta disagree…

  • StuntLikeABoss2010 said:

exactly true…that the like me in real life…im not really fast or really strong but i get hit plenty of times without falling cuz i can keep my balance and im aware of the field situation…theres an AWARENESS rating…they should use it….

  • Stachtastic said:

lol dumbass EA would make a fat lineman (300 lbs) tackle a guy thts 299 lbs everytime EA dnt kno what they are doin

  • KaeRingBellz said:

You guys tell me what video game is simulation.. That is perfect or near perfect…

  • Tick386 said:

they used to hav that button mashing in madden 06 i think. if was over powered in espn 2k5 if u had a beast back tho so it might piss a couple ppl off lol. me being 1 of em

  • Tick386 said:

u know wat maybe weight should correspond with it also. for the power backs.

  • Alangh said:

The same should go 4 a tackler who gets gassed after a series of so many plays. He doesn’t have the balance to make the tackle once he’s engaged with the ball carrier. But what do u think of the button-tapping system to make or break the tackle?

  • Alangh said:

Take for instance, Adrian Peterson would be someone most would assume has great balance. However, if u ran him in like a series of plays back-to-back and each of them were time consuming in his time running with the ball, he will of course get naturally tired. Therefore, if he ran the ball the very next play and was stopped by a player (yet not fully tackled, so he’s still standing up), he would eventually go down at the hands of that tackler bcuz his balance decreased with his energy.

  • Alangh said:

Yea, u rite. There should b a balance rating. However, it should b the only rating that corresponds with the player’s energy during the actual gameplay. The reason y is bcuz the player has to be at full strength (100% energy) to maintain his max. balance. Whenever he becomes tired and fatigue sets in after like a series of plays, he shouldn’t b able enough to have and/or keep his full balance once he’s engaged with someone.
